Georgia Licensing Requirements

Passing of required exams: Georgia Practical, MPJE, and NAPLEX
Number of hours required: 1500 internship hours prior to sitting for the examination. Hours must be received in Board office two (2) weeks prior to the examination date; -The Board will accept up to 1000 school hours under the Doctor of Pharmacy program and up to 480 hours under the B.S. Pharmacy program. ; A minimum of 20 and a maximum of 50 internship hours per week are required.; If the applicant desires to obtain these hours in a non-conventional setting such as a research lab, a chemical plant, etc., the applicant must seek prior approval from the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy by submitting his/her request in writing.   The maximum number of hours allowed is one (1) hour of credit for every two (2) hours worked, not to exceed a maximum of two hundred (200) hours credit.; No internship hours will be accepted if received prior to obtaining A Georgia intern license
